Why did we start yet another singles site for Catholics?

It was early in 2007 that a few of us single Catholics were discussing the limitations and growing expense of existing online dating sites for Catholic singles. As men in our late twenties and early thirties who have been on all the Catholic sites for goodness knows how long and still not having success, we were frustrated about the whole “online thing” and considering the idea of giving up and just letting God sort it all out.

But we soon agreed that the solution was a new website that take the best of all the existing services and create new features that address the needs of today’s Catholic singles who want to date appropriately and have the best chance of meeting a suitable partner for marriage.
In addition, we wanted a site that would have great value but NOT need to cost so much. It’s very simple…there is no reason there cannot be a sophisticated Catholic dating site for faithful, committed Catholic singles AND still cost less than a couple of drinks at a bar every month or a couple of movie rentals each month.

We invested time and money in consultants that we felt would help us create the best results we were looking for. And after nine months, here we are!

Price vs. Customer Service

$4.95/month! You cannot beat that! And this is NOT an introductory amount just to lure you in, nor are there any additional hidden costs. The service and every feature we will every build or offer is yours for this ridiculously low fee. And if you decide to take a break, you stop paying for the time being until you want to resume. It’s a simple as that.

We really feel that singles can have a powerful website to meet a potential spouse or make new friends, and it NOT be costly.

The trade-off
We don’t do this full-time, therefore we don’t have a customer service team. There is just two of us and we have other jobs and commitments which make it impossible for this site to have a customer service staff. This helps to keep our price ALWAYS so low. And we have no intention of growing a staff to service this site. That would mean increasing the price, which we absolutely do not want to do.

Rather, we want to see members helping other members. That way we can focus our part-time efforts on handling the really critical customer service issues and not get too overwhelmed.

We think we have made this site very easy to use, and that you will agree that the great low price will help offset where we lack in customer service. If you do write us, it may take time to get a reply or resolution. We will do our absolute best. So please be patient with us as we try to respond the best we can.

To help members help each other, we have created this blog so members can find answers to their questions, as well as post their tips and advise, and post their questions for others to answer in the comments areas.

We want this site to be an active community where everyone works to help each other wherever possible.

We will continue to improve the site often. We have a long list of very exciting features and functionality we plan to add in the near future. Feel free to suggest anything that you would like us to add, as we are always looking for constructive feedback. As well, keep looking for our new features, and let us know what you like or don’t like about them. We are building this site for you, so we appreciate any and all feedback you can provide.
